Gauci Borda is Malta's leading yacht chandlery and flag manufacturer — an importer and distributor across the marine, industrial, hardware, DIY and home-improvement sectors.
Our story
Established in 1963 by the late Paul Gauci Borda, Myra Gauci Borda and her team of twenty-two dedicated and skilled employees have developed and grown the company over the years — currently in its third generation as a family-owned company.
Gauci Borda operates two retail outlets, in Gżira and Msida, a warehouse and distribution centre in San Gwann, as well as an online service — all providing an extensive array of supplies and services locally and internationally, and yet still to expand even further.

Fendequip fender covers, hand-made from premium, stain-resistant, non-abrasive loop-knit acrylic. Durable yet soft, designed to protect topsides from fender scruff and avoid costly gel-coat repairs. Available in a wide variety of colours — black, navy, royal blue, red, bottle green, beige, greys, burgundy, taupe and more — with the option to add your boat name and logo.
Through Dolphin Wear, Gauci Borda has access to all the major brands in formal, casual and outerwear uniforms. Dolphin Wear is known for functional, stylish uniforms — unique, customised and made-to-measure to meet client specifications.
Performed in our own workshop on specialised machinery by trained team members. Splices attain a rope's full strength — including mechanical splicing of galvanised and stainless steel wire ropes, and Dyneema splicing done only at Gauci Borda. We also provide swaging and rigging for marine, industrial and architectural purposes, with Blue Wave (Denmark) as our supplier.
A long-time supplier of BESTO life-saving equipment, Gauci Borda is certified to service BESTO life jackets — pressure checks, cylinder and manifold examination, gasket, seal and inflator replacements in accordance with regulations. Each serviced life jacket is stamped and awarded a certificate of service.
